Gone Rogue

Government employees swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Intelligence workers are no different.

And yet former CIA counterterrorism officer and former senior investigator with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee John Kiriakou writes:

One of the things that most observers don’t understand is that the CIA will do anything – anything – to survive. All CIA officers are taught to lie. They lie all the time, about everything, to everybody. And they justify it by trying to convince themselves that they are doing it in the national interest, for national security. From my very first day in the CIA, it was drilled into me, as it is into every other employee, that “the primary mission is to protect the Agency.” That was the mantra.

Indeed, the CIA has gone rogue.

The NSA as well.

Speaking of rogue government employees, John McCain, senator from Arizona, claims to be a Republican but has never seen a liberal policy he did not like.

Like Obama, McCain's credentials are questionable.
John McCain was the primary opposition to the Senate Select Committee on POWs. In a bizarre twist, he bitterly opposed any attempt to rescue any other POWs. This is very strange since John McCain was himself a POW.
The POWs that might have been rescued and would have been able to give testimony about the 32 propaganda tapes that John McCain made for the communists while in Viet Nam. The 32 propaganda tapes are still "classified" so no one can see them.

Vietnam Veterans Against McCain
Vietnam Veterans call John McCain a collaborator. Additionally, McCain says he would keep our soldiers in Iraq for 100 years. Would he also leave any prisoners there for the rest of their lives? Whose side is this guy on?
